I have a passion for quality education-one aimed at nurturing positive pedagogical relationship between teachers and learners.  I started as a high school teacher and moved to teacher education (PhD & M. Ed), where I believed I would impact the education sector better.  I majored in Curriculum and Instruction and with great interest in the hidden curriculum which includes the many issues that affect the day today lives of learners and teachers; and consequently become barriers or gateways to quality education.  My desire over the years is to see every learner succeed in life.

I have served as a lecturer at formerly Chepkoilel Campus of Moi University, as Head of Department (2003-2009), Associate Dean of the School of Education (2002-2005) and later as the 1^st Director, institute for Gender Equity, Research and Development, Moi University (2005-2011).  Between 2002 and 2011, I served the University in various committees, participated in the development of a number of University policies and also guided the development of the Moi University Gender Policy and Moi University Disability Policy.  During my tenure as the Director of the Gender Institute, I organized more than 30 capacity building seminars/workshops for a varied clientele.  My department of affiliation has been the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences, University of Eldoret.  I am a co-founder and current Director for the Kenya Association of Educational Administration and Management –KAEAM. 

From May 2014 to July 2022, I served as the Registrar Academic Affairs, at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology, Kenya; a position that allowed me to oversee the day today operations of the academic affairs division.  Currently, I am serving as the Acting Principal Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (July 2022-present).
